Welcome to Studio 22 Pilates

At Studio 22 Pilates, our mission is to create an environment where people feel inspired and comfortable working towards health and wellness, regardless of what stage they are at in their journey.

Located in The Woodlands, Texas, Studio 22 Pilates aims to provide a personal experience for everyone. Our premise is based on the expertise of our owner, Lee Raymond, and her 17+ years of teaching private lessons, open studio, and small class concepts. From her experience as an athlete, Lee knows that success isn’t just won on the field but achieved through consistency in training. She and her instructors teach that consistent training will help clients reach their goals in their fitness and wellness journey. It is just as rewarding to see clients learn that they are capable of more than they think as it is to see them improve their strength and flexibility.

What is Pilates

New to Pilates?

Joseph Pilates based his fitness program on three principles—breath, whole-body health, and whole-body commitment. Pilates is a physical fitness program and form of exercise that focuses on the body’s core muscles which keep the body balanced. This therapeutic movement fitness program also aids in the rehabilitation of the body after injury, pregnancy, degenerative diseases, and more. Stronger back and core

The muscles that make up your core are essential for lumbar back support. A strong core is the foundation for a strong, functioning body. Pilates promotes and restores ideal posture and alignment and often helps to alleviate pain and muscle tightness.

Coordination and body awareness

Pilates calls on mind-body coordination and creates heightened body awareness even when practicing everyday activities like getting out of your car. It also incorporates lateral breathing, which keeps the abdominals contracted while creating heightened body awareness.

Gentle and good for all ages

Pilates allows you to move in a more natural state. It is low-impact resistance training and conditions your body from head to toe, helping restore balance, prevent injuries, and strengthen previously weak or injured muscles.
